Our journey began with the development of a versatile, multi-purpose form that we eventually patented. We settled on using it as a cutting board made of wood and a tray made of stone, perfect for presenting food or other items that look best on a diamond-shaped surface. The name for our product presented itself naturally when we created the first prototype. It is spelled with the Icelandic letter "æ," which is pronounced like "ai" or the "ia" in diamond.

Although the diamond-shaped form may appear complex, it is highly practical. We currently offer three sizes of wooden cutting boards in walnut and maple, as well as three sizes of stone trays in granite and white Carrara marble. Our granite tray features a leather finish on one side, adding to its unique style.

Our Dæmond Stone Trays are produced in collaboration with Rein (Stone Cutters), using cut-offs from table tops to minimize waste and offer clients a larger part of the stone. This way, we can ensure that the trays are environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Currently, our cutting boards and stone trays are available exclusively at Epal design stores or when purchasing table tops from Rein in Iceland. We're thrilled to see how our customers will use and enjoy these versatile and sustainable products.
