Description:
"Graphic novels are, as a whole, one of the modern world’s great forms of expressive art and storytelling" (Mielke). In this assignment you will be designing a graphic novel book cover. 

Objective
Discover book design, specifically the graphic novel genre, and design a book cover
Output
One PDF with your design process and your book cover
Instructions
Randomly (Links to an external site.) select and identify three nouns, a city, action verb, and person’s name.
Using all of the above, outline the plot for a graphic novel aimed at children in grades 3 to 7.
What does the main character want?
Is there an obstacle in the character’s way?
How does the main character get what he or she wants?
Write the title of the graphic novel.
On a sheet of newspaper and using a black marker or digitally using a stylus and tablet (also on a newspaper background) add the title and draw a singular large image for the cover to complement the title. The image should be an elemental line drawing or drawn with continuous, overlapping lines  (Links to an external site.)(you will NOT be graded on the quality of your drawing, this is a design class, not an art class)
