We took pride in the privilege of designing and developing a new, modern website for the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. Renowned not only for its architectural grandeur but also as a key tourist attraction in Ukraine, particularly in the cherished city of Odessa, the theater deserved a digital presence that harmonized cultural heritage with contemporary functionality.
Design and Development Highlights
- Cultural Emphasis: The website design struck a delicate balance, accentuating the theater's rich cultural heritage while infusing modernity, dynamism, and user convenience, catering to theater-lovers of all age groups.
- Enhanced Navigation: The site structure underwent a comprehensive update, ensuring more efficient and user-friendly navigation. Notably, the redesign of the theater’s repertoire and events pages aimed at elevating the user experience for online ticket purchases.
- Mobile Adaptability: Recognizing the prevalence of mobile usage, the website underwent full adaptability for mobile devices, ensuring a seamless experience across various platforms.
- Architectural Aesthetics: In the realm of design, meticulous efforts were invested to preserve and convey the theater's architectural essence, creative atmosphere, and unique beauty. This included incorporating statues directly from the theater's facade into the design.
Project Scale
With over 110 meticulously designed screens and the creation of more than 50 key page templates, the project spanned nearly a year, culminating in a successful and satisfying completion. All design in Figma and developed on WordPress.
Results
We take pride in presenting the world-renowned theater's new digital home. The comprehensive redesign not only pays homage to its cultural legacy but also ensures a contemporary and user-centric online presence.
