BYZANTINE ARTWORK
This project was a part of a workshop called "Embroidery Workshop". Getting inspired from Byzantine art period, I developed some simple byzantine mosaics by using Aari embroidery or Adda work.
Mosaic is a picture or decoration made of small, usually colored pieces of inlaid stone, glass, etc. It was a popular form of artistic expression in the Byzantine empire. This art comprises the body of Christian Greek artistic products of the Eastern Roman empire and done by using bright stones, lively wall paintings, gold mosaics, intricately carved ivory and precious metal in general.
