CONTEX:
Schneider Electric’s office in Mongolia is primarily a sales office. As the company is
entering the Mongolian market, the primary goal is to showcase as much of the product offering as possible. A well designed and well equipped showroom will be a key asset to impress clients and improve awareness about all the solutions Schneider Electric can provide for the Mongolian market.
CONCEPT:
We research the history of Schneider Electric, and the way the company has evolved from being an equipment manufacturer to becoming a global solution providers for all areas related to energy.
We looked at many other showrooms (SE in Singapore, Korea, Vietnam, Paris) and
visited one of Schneider Electric showrooms in Beijing. For the Mongolian showroom,
we want to focus on the involvement of all visitors.
We want all visitors to connect with the information presented. To do so, we suggest
the installation of one thin table in the middle of the showroom to encourage people to
get closer to the information displayed and to create a ‘circle’, as people circulate from
one side to the other. Although that change could be perceived as lost space, we see
several advantages:
‣ we can use it to set the limits of the residential area in a subtle way. We are actually
saving a lot of space for the other area and circulation space doing so
‣ we can use it as a substitute for gondolas to display switches. People will enjoy the
tactile experience and get a better feel for the quality of the devices
‣ The residential area sofa is integrated in that floating table, so people will feel more
comfortable sitting and enjoying the WISER control experience, than if it was set aside as a display’ furniture only
