Descripción del proyecto:

The project is based on a very extensive urban analysis of Atizapán de Zaragoza, this helped us to understand a little more the problems of the context of our site "Parque Mexico Nuevo" in order to finally propose a solution strategy that is divided into two parts. Master Plan proposal that seeks to reactivate and reconnect the Park and the second part is an architectural intervention in a part of the park whose objective is to provide services that improve the security, urban health, social inclusion
and provide a sense of belonging to the park.

Urban Analysis
The urban analysis led us to understand that there are several problems in Atizapán which we must consider, the topography is very varied and drastic, with flat terrain and ravines very close. The population density and marginality are not well distributed either, having a large dispersion within the municipality, however what we wanted to analyze beyond these problems was the road networks within Atizapán since accessibility always plays an important role in urban planning.
Connections in Atizapan

We set out to study street patterns and analyze not only its physical form but also the relationship that exists with the context and the sociodemographic study. We found that there are 3 different street patterns responding to 3 different zones within Atizapan.
+ Zone one, which is the Emerald Zone, in which you can see a much more planned but somewhat isolated street pattern, it is easier to get around in this area by car.
+ Zone two in the center that if a pattern is still established with greater reach and mobility with both cars and pedestrians.
+ Zone 3, which is east of Atizapan, there is no longer a pattern, in addition to being the densest and most marginalized zone, however there are so many connections that it makes it easy to get around by car and walking.
Quantitative and qualitative analysis

With a survey carried out to the inhabitants of Atizapan, we obtained information and a clearer profile of our study area, concluding that the people who live in Atizapan have the following characteristics
Site Accesibility
         Now                                                                                                Analysis proposal
We observe that the current accessibility of the park is not so functional since, although it has contact with the primary road, it does not have a permeability that invites entry to the park, in addition to having a very large area of opportunity for an access proposal in the northeast part of the park

Masterplan
Mobility

The car access, the principal existing access to the cars and people who drive here to have a wonderful time in the park needs to search the access because its hidden in some small streets of the place, and because of that we decide to open a new access visible from the principal avenue, Av. Adolfo Lopez Mateos, that cross the part one of the park to connect to the existing parking lot.
This new road will be extremely protective to our pedestrian a cycling users, with traffic signs, pedestrian cross (REVO), bollards and speed limits.
We integrate a path all over the park, to make the zone more walkable, also we promote  the use of the bicycle with a bikeway. The space where the car is allowed is only on the new gate and the road to the parking space.
Integration of the path
CONCEPT
The concept is based on strategic connections, we wanted to continue generating networks that would work efficiently, therefore with our proposal of two accesses we generate permeability for local habitants inviting them to walk in an efficient and interactive way in our project.
