A popular trend among Kpop fans is to put a photocard of their favorite member in the back of their phone case in order to be able to display the photocard where ever they go. In Korea, fans will keep photocards of Kpop idols that are known to be smart as good luck charms for their exams. With that in mind, I wanted to create a good luck charm in the form of a photocard so that it can be brought anywhere (like in the back of a phone case).

For this design, the person in this photocard is Kevin Moon from The Boyz. He is known to be a smart idol and was accepted into one of Canada's top colleges before becoming a Kpop idol and has stated that he had wanted to become an elementary school teacher if he did not become a Kpop idol. 

I chose to keep the shape similar to regular Kpop photo cards and have the front design resemble a decorated polaroid (decorating polaroids of Kpop idols is also a common hobby that many fans have too). The color palette was chosen from colors that were present in the picture of Kevin. All of the elements of the front design are references to different things such as the crescent moons to refer to Kevin's last name (Moon), the school supplies to represent Kevin's past dream of being a teacher, the music notes for his love of music, etc. For the back design, it is a reference to one of The Boyz's songs called "Clover". Since this photo card was meant to be used as a good luck charm, it seemed fitting to include lyrics from one of The Boyz's songs that talks about luck.
