Paula Scher Poster; Adobe Illustrator

This is a poster I created in Graphic Design I.

We were asked to research a famous graphic designer and make a poster in their style.

I chose Paula Scher, a designer known for designing the Citibank logo and countless album covers.

My poster portrays the style she used when designing the visual identity for the Public Theater.

In these posters, Scher would change the directionality of type, use contrasting bright colors, and surround a figure with a large amount of text in a dynamic way.

Scher's design influence is evident in modern type-centric designs.
