This title sequence for Portrait of a Lady on Fire combines paintings that I created digitally by hand and photography. One of the biggest challenges with this project was animating the fire from scratch. The fire animation is comprised of many AfterEffects clipping masks. Each painting is a scene from the film and shows all faces scrubbed out, as obscured faces is a motif in the film. Previous projects for this class assignment were limited to flat vector style illustrations, so I wanted to take a unique approach with the collage of oil paintings. This is a work in progress.
