Resident Kitchen. One of the main aspects of the Veteran's Affairs Community Living Center model is the neighborhood kitchen located in an open concept floor plan. The layout encourages residents and their visitors to cook and eat together as a community and is helpful for rehabilitation exercises.

View from Kitchen into the Living Room. The living room incorporates views of the VA campus and treescape beyond and is centered around the fireplace to reinforce the idea of the hearth being the center of the home.

Living Room. Furniture was inspired by the design and selected by VA internal designers. The high back lounge chairs complement the rustic stone fireplance and deep cherry wood accents to create the feeling of a mountain retreat.

Resident Bedroom. The Arts and Crafts influences are seen in the millwork details and the accent color in this resident bedroom. The millwork is designed to display the veterans personal belongings and artwork as well as hide the medical gases and workstation for the nursing staff.
