Capitol Reef, 2013

Capitol Reef is one of the Big Five, five national parks found in Utah, which compile the most extraordinary features that Southern Utah can showcase. Once part of a massive Anticline formation, the eroded away landscape of Capitol Reef feature a formidable line of cliffs and desert featuring Arches, River canyons, Washes, Ancient remnants of life of the past, and wildlife in its natural state. This desolate area does have life in Fruita, an old Mormon settlement, still inhabited by the fruit trees of the Pioneers. What the area does lack in population, it does number in stars. The area is one of the darkest areas in the United States, showcasing some of the best night time skies around. One can see the entire galaxy, satelites passing overhead, and meteors streaming across the sky.
