WHAT IS CO-WORKING?
Coworking is a shared work environment where independent professionals gather. The term “coworking” was coined in 1999 by Bernie DeKoven, a software developer who used it to describe computer-supported collaborative work. In 2005, Brad Neuberg used “coworking” to describe a physical space, organizing the “Hat Factory” and “Citizen Space,” the first official coworking spaces. The spaces allowed workers to collaborate, even though they didn’t work for the same company or client.
CASE STUDIES OF INNOVATION:
The goal is to understand the influence of culture on innovation or invention. Through presenting this case study, I was able to highlight different aspects and dimensions of the coworking movement innovation process, which helps to understand the complexities of this diffusing new idea. It helped me discover factors that are contributing to the success or failure of this invention.
TYPES OF COLLABORATORS - Infographic Animation:
This infographic video demonstrates the social, economic, and environmental impacts that Co-working place is having on local businesses and community. It mainly focuses on the type of the nine types and to know them inside out for morphing their workplaces into creative, collaborative and productive ‘workspaces’. As space needs to be a user-centric and activity-centric design solution for collaborative workplaces, knowing the user becomes essential.
