Teardrop | Premium Cutlery

Teardrop Premium Cutlery Collection.

'Teardrop' is the result of a short one week design challenge for RenderWeekly. Below, a set of visuals are presented to showcase the subtle form work for the premium and contemporary cutlery set. The design language implemented across the whole set focuses on a subtle transition from a tear drop like profile on the handle, to a smooth blend; all sharing the same handle profile. The visuals explore a couple of CMF options; the first set focusing on the use of one material (brass) and utilising split textures during manufacture to achieve tactility on the handle.

Material Split CMF

The second set of visualisation explores a different CMF option, with potential to utilise different material choices for the 'handle' component of the cutlery set. A range of different materials and finishes could be explored - all be it at extra cost - to create a set of cutlery thats fits within a range of dining and living spaces. Below,  black and white diamond cut marble material and jet black stainless steel is chosen to show how material choice can offer an entirely different result witht he same form.

Teardrop Cutlery is currently in the process of being prototyped to further explore the ergonomics and proportions as well as the material finish.

Thank you for taking the time to view my work.
