The Brief
Trove is a stock trading platform. They needed to create a product where their users could simulate stock trading without financial risks.
Research
To begin the project, I spoke to users of Trove about the platform and I also researched other stock exchange platforms. This provided me with insights into the industry that informed my design decisions in creating the initial wireframes for the design.
The App Icon
Whilst putting the original brand identity of Trove in perspective, I drew inspiration from gaming and stock exchange to create a unique app icon that visually described the idea of Trove Exchange Play.
Animation
To keep the in-app animations lightweight and shorten load time, the illustrations and interactions were converted to JSON using Bodymovin and Lottie after they were created in Adobe After Effects and Affinity Designer.
To maintain consistency across the brand, visual elements were culled from the original identity of Trove in creating the high-fidelity prototype.
