Worse for Wear
I created this identity for Worse for Wear, an American company that specialized in durable women’s motorcycle clothing crafted to be tough yet fashionable, on and off the road. Worse for Wear was envisioned and co-founded by my good friend Laura Smith, a total badass and long time motorcyclist enthusiast.
The inspiration for the custom-made typographic letterforms in the word Worse were derived from traditional western and Chinese calligraphy. The left-most feather treatment was added to emote a sense of speed, dynamism, and adventure-seeking thrill while paying homage to iconic vintage motorcycle identities including Indian Motorcycles as well as Honda classic winged and modern Powersports logo.

This set was captured by photographer John Saponara in Richmond and in Brooklyn.
Motorcycle helmet-inspired t shirt explorations as an alternative design.

Keepin' it social :)
