Marie is a short symbolic story book, created as a part of an Imagemaking course.
This is an attempt to represent different aspects of the societal status of the female gender using the marigold flower as a symbol. I have used different symbolic representations like the flower on a woman's mouth preventing her to speak out, while on the man's ears preventing them to listen when they actually do. The same flower is later used to represent a woman's strength, hence representing the changing times, fighting patriarchy.
However, this is an abstract design project, open to interpretations.
