A resident of Madison, CT, Andrew Allis has served in numerous sales positions across many companies. For over two decades, he has dealt with territory sales and accounts management to grow existing accounts and source for new businesses. Until recently, he worked as an account executive for YRC Worldwide in CT. When he’s not working, Andrew Allis gives back to the community by volunteering at the Branford Food Pantry for the Needy.

The Branford Food Pantry for the Needy is a volunteer food pantry that was established by various churches in Branford to reach out to individuals who are struggling to obtain food. In Connecticut, one in seven households has difficulties putting food on the table with more than half a million individuals at risk of hunger. Nearly one in every five children in Connecticut under the age of 18 years suffer from hunger or is food insecure.

Working in close collaboration with the Connecticut Food Bank, the Branford Food Pantry ensures that every support from donors and well-wishers helps to mitigate the risk of hunger which affects all kinds of people including children, people with disabilities, working parents, and seniors. Donating food, money, or sparing some hours of volunteering helps to transform the life of someone who is food insecure. Despite Connecticut’s wealthy index, there’s a constant need for food assistance in communities which clearly sets out the mandate of The Branford Food Pantry for the Needy.
