🐵👑 Monkey King aka Sun Wukong is my favorite Chinese legendary/cultural figure who plays a major role in the novel Journey to the West. He is known to have super powers that include 72 different transformations. The original story dates back to the 16th Century whereas the Monkey King meets the Monk, Tang Sanzhang (and later other team members like the Pig Demon and the Sandman). The team travels to India while battling other Demons. Sun Wukong eventually achieved enlightenment.

🍑 In my piece (Journey to The 1950’s) the Monkey King, the Monk and special guest, White Bone Spirit travels to The Fifties. Peaches of Immortality offers longevity to those that eat them. Monkey King loves to eat longevity peaches! I’ve always wanted to imagine Monkey King in a different setting and environment.
