Early May 2020 , a week before tensions arose in the US on police brutality, I noticed these officers late at night grabbing donuts in passing.  I reflected on each of the officers body language in that moment specifically their gaze one had its gaze feeling directly at me.

 

 

I couldn’t get it out of my head , everyone else’s back turned seemingly relaxed but there he was. He seemed so tense almost mirroring my own tension being near them.

 

How often is it that someone can really just look at an officer and safely study them?
