Doubleshot is not just a coffee shop, but one of the finest roasters of coffee and blenders of tea in Johannesburg, so a big part of its business is in supplying various restaurants and offices around the country with its products on a commercial scale.

 

When it came time to order new wholesale cartons to package their goods for delivery, I decided to use the whole canvas the box provides rather than just slap a logo on the side. Instead, I illustrated the steps of the 'seed to cup' process — from the farm in Malawi, to the roastery, to the coffee shop or canteen, where staff are given training to deliver a perfect cup of tea or coffee.

 

The eye-catching design also allows the boxes to be used in displays. The alternating black and white blocks were stacked up together at a coffee and chocolate expo as part of Doubleshot's stand design.
