Grid Task: Giorno Giovanna Biography
Greetings everyone! For this task, we are to pair up into groups of two people in our class and design a spread of our choice along with its contents. Our contents were to be A4 sized for one person, which makes it that each group should produce two pages.
I had the honor in pairing up with my colleague Hakam Halim and together we decided our topic to be a mini biography of one of my favourite fictional characters Giorno Giovanna from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
The Image on the left regarding Giorno was made by me, where as the image on the right regarding Giorno's Stand Golden experience was made by Hakam.
For the grid layout we used is a mix between Column Grid and Modular Grid.
Design Process
For this task we used Adobe InDesign, First we created the the template for the spread. Due to circumstances, we decided to communicate through Microsoft Teams.
Next we added the background, images as well the content for the biography. The font we chose was Century 751 Std Bold.
After that we added the finer details such as textures to make the spread stand out more rather than a simple flat image. We adjusted the contents according to the grid styles we had chosen.
After we export them out, we combined both of them together using Adobe Photoshop which results in the first image.
