Valley of the Yosemite

"The earth has music for those who listen."
George Santayana
In February for a few weeks the sun can backlight Yosemite's Horsetail Fall creating a "firefall", this is getting skunked by storm, but if your not there.?
This image was made during a full moon while chasing moonbows. I watched an emergency vehicle run up to the Yosemite Fall bus-stop, didn't pay attention and left the shutter open for 283 seconds. A moonbow is present but faded, the traffic here is fun.!! Who says a mistake can't work.
What a fall morning; from Cooks Meadow the sun peeks over Half Dome and though the meadows Elm.
Imaged during a super moon, I noticed three groups of climbers on Lost Arrow Spire. Wish I could have asked them to headlamp all at the same time as here, would have saved a few hours of waiting. I stopped trying to capture the three, opened the lens to give an aetherius feel and that's when they lite together.
In February Yosemite's Horsetail Fall is backlit by the setting sun, nature's firefall. On this day clouds hung low obscuring the fall bathing El Capitan's eastern slope  in gold.
November sunshine through a lighting damaged oak.
Yosemite's winter sunsets welcome a kalidoscope of color. Three Brothers in pink.
El Capitan on a cold November morning. Winds are calm during the morning making the Merced River a magical mirror.
Hanging with El Cap.
Reflections of Cathedral Rocks.
Yesteryear greets a new day.
Horsetail Fall 2011, all the famous photo clickers where there and a few of us not so famous.
.
Artist Point in late fall, neat how the sun, rock and shadow align.
Sun kissed Half Dome, late fall.
Oh geez yeah; same day as photo above just morning.
Least you should be turned to granite for wickness as was Tis-sa-ack.
An evening in Leidig Meadow.
