Ixchel Museum of Indigenous Costume.
(English & Spanish version)
It was one of the first works I developed when I returned from my scholarship
at the University of Tomas Bata in Zlín,
The Czech Republic in 2003.

I developed a variety of works in the museum. In my adolescence,
I was interested in supporting the museum I met in a garage in zone 10 in the 80s and,
now has a modern and spacious building.
My work in this book (Spanish Edition).

Due to its importance and success in sales, it was printed in English
the year after its formal presentation in the Museum.

My participation in the book was: as a general advisor on the format, layout,
text writing, photographies selection, explanation of visual communication between the elements
of the costumes,  among others.

The format is square because it allowed us a representative area
for the distribution of the elements. Its shape combined with the pitaya color highlights
the color detail that we used as a symbol that represents the theme.
Out, with a white background color. White represents the union of all colors.

An option with a black background was presented to represent the absence
of color and to highlight the details of the suits.
Finally, the white version was chosen.
My proposal for the corporate color of the museum was purple since
it is the last color used by the Mayan culture, being the most modern
and visually ideal to use as a background and distinguish white objects,
as we worked in the book with the symbols.

The images in detail of the fabric and next to its symbol with the cleanliness that gives the color white
on a purple background.
