FKT Personal Video Challenge
#FKTWorldWide stands for "Funnest Known Time WorldWide". FKT was a challenge to encourage bikers to create a cycling trip and string together a ride of fun and adventure. Anything from Urban to Extreme Gravel was encouraged. My plans changed as the skies choked with smoke. Instead of an epic climb and adventure into the Los Padres National Forest I decided to lay low and explore my own backyard. Riding for me is a creative outlet via my camera and having fun on the bike. This unexpected plan was an epic backyard journey and a total blast. I rode 76mi and climbed 4300ft. I combined my favorite gravel trail with some of my asphalt training rides. In a twist I challenged myself to ride home from Fillmore using the retired train tracks as much as possible. A Funnest Know Time for sure and a serious challenge as well! Not even Goat Heads could keep me down!
For a long time I had wanted to test an Insta360 camera as a new video tool. This just added another layer of fun to the adventure.
