While going to school at Independence University for my graphic arts Bachelor's Degree we took a course called DES242 Logo and Identity Design, in the third and fourth week of this class we had to create a Personal Logo Design, below is the rough and digital sketches i came up with as well as the final outcome. 

Here are a few questions I was asked:

Growing up, I was always into art, whether drawing, coloring or other arts and crafts. As I got older, I became fascinated with the designs of logos and flyers and, of course, the ever so popular myspace layouts and website layouts. In my search for self-teaching and graphic design research, I found communities on myspace.com and later on facebook.com that had people creating custom images/designs for others specifically for those websites. I learned there are many different sites, and you can add your style and flair to them all by adding a customized banner or layout. In my teen years, designing became my way of coping with my mental health, and the hardships I was faced with became my escape from the real world. I always have ideas for color schemes and shapes and icons that I feel would go great in design, so much so that I downloaded apps on my cellphone to catalog all the color schemes I have so I don’t forget them. My dream is to have my own graphic arts business and design photo manipulations and edits for the average person or mother looking for edits of the family photos and companies to create websites, logos, and advertisements for their brand. I’d also been recently thinking of teaching when I’m done with school. I would love to teach a color theory class or any other graphic design class or even just tutor students. 

I believe design is important because I know great designs can significantly impact/effect on many areas of a person’s life or career, especially with how technology is growing in today’s world. Graphic design is a big part of things we all see every day in our lives, such as television commercials, YouTube videos, billboards, print, and digital advertisements, storefronts, and so many more things. Visual communication is one of the most basic forms of communication, and design is just another form of this communication, and it honestly does speak volumes. 

My visualization for design is a lot different from others. I will have legitimate designs that will satisfy my client’s wants and needs. Each of my design work will contain cohesive looks. I will always make sure my client gets what they want while making the design look outstanding. I will create a great design. I will also explain my reasoning to the client and give examples of different design styles that they might want me to include in my design.
