ORLY Pink October

It is pink October for Breast cancer awareness.
A Post for ORLY Nail polish!

For my research; I like to go to the person who is experiencing the cause directly.
After watching documentaries about women speaking about their breast cancer journey, I came up with great inspiring lines from their own words.

First of all, reaching out to the sisters out there who are going through their own journey with breast cancer (Sisterhood). As they said: with every common hard thing we face; we create a community of Sisterhood for the cause, and the main quote that is used for the design, was said by a woman with breast cancer.

" I refuse to live my life dying; I'd rather die living"

Another strong line was

“ I don’t live with Cancer,
Cancer lives with me”.

Secondly, was their Dilemma with being seen as dead or dying soon; which is not a fact. Plus they don’t want to feel or be seen as victims, especially by their own family. As well as people who are close to them sometimes step outside of their lives in fear of not seeing them again.

That’s why - from their own words -

“It’s okay, it’s just temporary”
“Cancer is not a death sentence”

Which were used as hashtags for the post.

Visually:

Pink October is always represented by the pink ribbon, and as the ORLY product is pink nail polish, I thought it wouldn't make sense in this post to use the product directly, as we are not selling, we are sending compassion to our Sisters out there.

So I expressed the nail polish as it’s the identity of Orly in a more abstract way; using the drip as the pink ribbon for Pink October theme.

Four Post designs:
the first two have one quote, the second two have another quote
each set has a second design with nail polish dripping with opacity in the background in case the abstract wasn't clear enough.
