I tried to find a symbol or thing that could conceptually embody the meaning of "ritual" (« rituel » in French), which was the given theme for the 2013 competitive examination.
I found such thing in jewellery, which remains a constant over different daily/modern and traditional ritual practices (beauty, society, religion, time, etc.).
Lookswise I went for a somewhat commercial tone, focusing primarily on the objects rather than the persons while maintaining just enough action to convey the "ritual" purpose of each item.
