Uber Insights (Hack Your Rating) Campaign

To meet business objectives, Uber analysed data from nearly half a billion rides and discovered a common trait amongst riders showcasing the desired behaviour: higher rider ratings. Using this, we tapped into India's competitive nature and gave our users 9 tips for them to up their ratings. We made our hacks come to life on uberinsights.in : a hub where we didn’t just tell our viewers where their ratings stood but presented them tips to improve them in a relatable fashion. While some of these “hacks”were derived keeping our objectives in mind (Uber it wherever you go, Ride ‘em all, etc), others gave our data an interesting twist(names that were rated higher, the best time to ride, etc). With this, not only did we meet our objectives, but changed the way riders travelled. In just 3weeks, the average rider rating across India increased from 4.6 to 4.66.
