PROJECT GUTENBERG

Project Gutenberg

I've never been much of a bookworm, but if I had to read a novel you can be sure I'd read good ol' detective/crime story. When the challenge came to create the layout for a serie of books I thus wiped the dust of the only 16 books I owned at the time and reworked their layouts.
From bloody red to inky blue and typewriter black and the beige tinted papers referencing to old case-files, the main trend through the style of the books is a structured, typewriter mindset with art-deco elements dating back to the golden era of private detectives.

For the layout of the books I went to a former private detective's office and the modern, local police station to do research. I even had my own fingerprints taken both the old school and digital way.

All the documentation; weither it's parchments, printout tests, stamp-tests and pictures became a fun, graphic document. A detective case on it's own.
