This app is a mobile plug-in for Adobe Dimension that uses augmented reality (AR) to show 3D designs in your own space, receive feedback from other users, and view other users’ designs as well. One of the challenges that my peers and I faced when our design classes first went online was how we would present our work for class critique and final presentation. Due to COVID restrictions, we began to rely on mockups and Adobe Dimension, a powerful 3D rendering and designing software, rather than physical models. While I have become a big Dn fan, one big issue that I noticed was that while you spent all of your time creating a 3D model, the final render of your project was a flat image that you couldn’t interact with, leaving you unable to see the design from all angles or get a sense of its scale. This plugin connects to your Adobe CC library so that you can quickly import and view your live files and encourages collaborating with other users through its easy sharing and feedback features.
