For the launch of Luna Nera, the original Italian series about women persecution during the XVII century, Netflix invited people to reflect on the current issue: yes, women are no longer burnt at the stake, but the persecution isn’t over yet.
The installation shows a giant contemporary fire, where people have been able to enter and discover what the stake is made of: thousands of hate comments against woman actually posted online.
Through a simple gesture, visitors had the chance to cancel the insults from the installation wall and - at the same time – directly report them online.
