Francesca Macrì was born in Turin. Prior to receiving a Degree in Industrial Design with a specialization in Eco-Design at the Politecnico di Torino, she obtained a master in Advertising & Graphic Design at the IAAD and did advertising for AroundInside and Altrimenti magazines and for Proges Design and Idea Up agencies. She has received awards from Food Design 5, Corto Dams Festival, Accessori & Design, ManifestaZOOne, Gwangju Biennal Design, Vittorio Bonacina Award, which were published in DAS Design After School, Piemonte Torino Design, Biennial of Young Artist from Europe and the Mediterranean, and magazines Il Sole 24 Ore, Activa, Plastdesign, Modo, and has been noticed at the 13th Edition of the Biennial of Young Artist from Europe and the Mediterranean, Gwangju Design Biennial (Korea), Torino Design Capital, Macef, Milan and Italian show-rooms. In collaboration with 5 of the major european design universities on the Eco and Narciso Project.
Her singular methodology and ethic applies to the study of a material or a concept by which she gathers contextual information i.e. social, cultural, ethical, biological, technological and ecological. Francesca Macri’s end goal is to attain innovation; its success is not only in producing a formally designed object but also to nd its links to emotional and symbolic values.
At the same time, she ideated the lecture and workshop ‘Theater and Design’, and was assistant-professor of Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Torino. Since 2005, she has always worked in cross-disciplinary projects spanning the visual arts and design. With an inquisitive and conclusive mind, Francesca Macrì has kept a wide, articulated and problem solving vision, resulting in collaborations with academic institutions, large and small industries, and with designers, architects and photography directors.

Francesca Macrì è nata a Torino. Prima di laurearsi in Disegno Industriale con una specializzazione in Eco-Design presso il Politecnico di Torino, ottiene un master in Advertising & Graphic Design presso lo IAAD e lavora come graphic designer per le riviste AroundInside e Altrimenti e le agenzie Proges Design e Idea Up.
Alcuni suoi progetti sono stati premiati e selezionati per  Bienniale Giovani Artisti dell’Europa e del Mediterraneo, Gwangju Design Biennial (Korea), Torino Design Capital, Macef, Food Design 5, Corto Dams Festival, Crazy Pack, Accessori & Design, ManifestaZOOne, Gwangju Biennal Design, Vittorio Bonacina Award, e pubblicati in published in DAS Design After School, Piemonte Torino Design, Biennial of Young Artist from Europe and the Mediterranean, Il Sole 24 Ore, Activa, Plastdesign, Modo. In collaborazione con 5 delle principali università europee di design ha lavorato per il progetto Eco e Narciso.
La sua singolare metodologia ed etica del progetto è applicata allo studio di un materiale o a un concept attraverso lo studio dei differenti contesti: sociale, culturale, etico, biologico, tecnologico ed ecologico. Il principale obiettivo è innovare. Un’innovazione non solo formale, ma funzionale, ecocompatibile e con forti valori emozionali e simbolici.
Dal 2005  Francesca Macrì lavora in progetti multidisciplinari che coinvolgono le arti e il design, collabora con istituzioni accademiche, grandi e piccole aziende, designer, architetti e fotografi, progetta e conduce i workshop “Teatro e Design” ed è esercitatrice per il corso di laurea in Disegno Industriale al Politecnico di Torino.

geometries sho w:
The versatility of the moulds and the ingeniosity of the shape allow several measures of free lights.
The finish is in smooth or sandblasted concrete. Its colors, in various shades of gray, range from
light pearl to elegant black .
The back rests, metal elements are laser-cut to reproduce graphics and architectural decorations
specifically designed to customize each seat in its environment.
