"Mengenal Sejarah Tionghoa di Indonesia" is a picture book made for my final project in college. The topic was inspired from my personal feelings and thoughts as a Chinese-Indonesian. Later I find out that a lot of the Chinese-Indonesian heroes are forgotten and erased from the Indonesian history textbook. As a sign of respect and to spread the awareness about it, I made it into a picture book for children about the Chinese-Indonesian history and culture.
The picture book itself is implemented with the augmented reality technology and 2d animation so children could watch the continuation of the story through the video and keep their excitement to read the book.

In this book, there are four Chinese-Indonesian heroes each with different achievements that they gave to their beloved country, Indonesia. John Lie, as a navy commander during Indonesian independence, Yap Tjwan Bing, a politician and a pharmacist, Tan Joe Hok, a badminton player, and Tan Tjeng Bok, an actor and Keroncong musician.
