Illustration made in Procreate for Macrofest Art Expo: Pop-Up Art Gallery (2020)

Illustration story: Both Panamanian and Chinese traditions come together behind the illustrator’s cultural backgrounds as she comes from a mixed race household. Uniting the beautiful aspects of the different cultures in our diverse country has lead to this artwork: la “pollera”, the traditional dress for the Panamanian woman and a Hanfu style headpiece from the Han Dynasty of China (replacing the tembleques which are the traditional headpieces of the pollera)
