With a career spanning New Jersey and New York, Rao Chalasani is a longtime financial trading professional who has invented an enterprise risk management system that is US patent pending. Rao Chalasani has a strong community presence in NY and beyond, and supports the Sankara Eye Foundation, USA, which provides no-cost surgeries and seeks to eliminate curable blindness as a major health issue in India.
Recognized by The Street as one of America’s most effective charities, the foundation is proactive in its outreach to communities and in August 2018 helped sponsor a workshop at the Simi Valley Senior Center in Southern California. The one-day event included the local Sankara Eye Foundation chapter’s youth president, a high school senior, as one of its hosts, and brought focus to the sales, marketing, and financial skills necessary for success in today’s business world.
Among the interactive presentations given at the workshop were practical demonstrations of how to project growth, set product prices, and design an effective logo. In addition to boosting participants skill levels and providing a networking opportunity, the event raised $1,500 toward the Sankara Eye Foundation.
