Sacrifice of Liberty Threadless design submission

For this Challenge I decided to focus on the theme of Liberty and Liberty lost.

About my inspiration:
There is a great seriousness encircling this upcoming vote. A sacrifice of personal liberty is chief among the multitude of hot topics; The right to assemble, the right to free speech, and the knowledge of an erosion of values and the perceived decay of a great nation. Topics like American Greatness, Black Lives Matter, fake news, QAnon, and Covid are all hot button topics of the now. An eerie reflection of the revolutionary times of the 60's not long enough in the past to be forgotten, and those songs of protest now chime with newfound relevance. The Statue of Liberty, a national monument, carries a tabula ansata inscribed "JULY IV MDCCLXXVI" (July 4, 1776), the date of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. A broken shackle and chain lie at her feet as she walks forward, commemorating the recent national abolition of slavery. Have we lost our way? Forgotten our history? Or sacrificed her to religious and commerce that have superseded the values that founded a nation? Whichever side in this debate one's political leanings fall, a great gravitas this election. Vote for Liberty!
My design rough was focused on creating a christian theme of the crucifix and mixing elements of the eye of providence and the sacrifice of lady Liberty attempting to create a relationship between the all seeing eye as it looks down upon the sacrifice. the fire knocked out on the torch of Liberty and the tabula ansata hung upside down like an anti-emblem. The stone frame was an attempt to capture an art-deco pre WW2 architectural element without an overt association as I didn't want it to overpower the central image and become too busy.
I worked to emulate the eye of providence and Mason symbols to create a set of vector items to help resolve the subtlety of the original eye that was not reading quite right. adding a sunburst halftone to replace the grooved stone with something that would achieve a similar effect but simplify the stone detailing of the frame.
I tried four different type and texture treatments for the submission : tarnished (agged patina) Sacrifice (Blood) Capitalism (Dollar Bill) and Liberty (the US red, white, and blue hex associated with the flag ,nationalism and the vote)  in the end I felt the Loss of Liberty was my favorite and I submitted it and the Sacrifice of Liberty as my two strongest submissions offered with and without type overlay.
