Town of Unus annus - Map Project
The brief asked to develop a map of either real or fictional place. The aim was to focus on using digital media and explore the possibilities of a map format.
Chosen a fictional ‘location’ to focus on for this project. I thought that making the subject of the map not a physical place would be an interesting challenge. Developed a map based on a YouTube channel named Unus Annus. Sorted all the videos to categories based on their topic and designed the town’s locations based on video themes.
Researching and looking for artstyle inspiration referencing designs and aesthetics visible on the Unus Annus’ channel thumbnails and merch website. Decided on making yellow an accent colour for the black and white colour palette.
