I have found these regularly cut steel plates among some discarded industrial junk and their individual textures have given me an idea. I am currently going through the process of oxidizing them to later add to each of them simple black gradient to give a tridimensional feel and make them like portals to a story. 
In the worse case, it will not work but I will have had the pleasure to admire the beauty of the rusting process, purely chemical and still reminiscent of a biological process, like a slowly maturing wine.
