Located in the old E&B Brewery building in Eastern Market, Red Bull House of Art is a residency program helping local up and coming artists from the metro Detroit area gain exposure. Eight featured artists are chosen for each cycle, lasting about three months. During that time the artists work on their body of work in the provided studio spaces. The studios are located on the main level and the gallery is in the basement. While the new group of artists are working on their body of work, the work from the last group is on display in the gallery. When the gallery is open to the public people are encouraged to not only look at the show that is currently up but, walk through the new round of artist's studio spaces and see what they're working on, their process, and what to expect for the next show. The gallery is non profit so all proceeds from artist's sales go directly to them. Red Bull (the energy drink) sponsors the gallery and provides the artists with funding for materials to complete their work and carry out their vision.
