A 20 x 30" poster design for the song "Soul Wars" by AWOLNATION. The project here was to design and produce a poster for your favorite song, drawing inspiration from the style of an established graphic designer of your choice.
The graphic designer that I chose to research and model the illustration style off of was London-based designer Rod Steele. Not only does Steele specialize in the music and entertainment sectors, but he experiments with many different styles to create a "digital chaos" in his work that I've come to admire.
A few of his pieces that stood out to me in particuliar were the ones that played around with photo manipulation, so after creating some inital sketches to figure out the image I wanted to create, I began to build the final design in Adobe Photoshop.
