Thinking Through Design // Project 2 Processes and Final Result
Task 2: Thinking Through Drawing
Three Images
Superimposed Fourth Image
Images used for the Process
In order from left to right:
* Image 1: 3D Background Digital Drawing for The third segment using my phone, its pen and application Autodesk Sketchbook
* Image 2: Watercolour Pencil and Pencil drawings of my succulents
* Image 3: Acrylic drawings of my pots
* Images 4-6: Images of my room used for the first segment
* Image 7-9: Watercolour and Acrylic hybrid of a tree branch inspired by the Kevin Lynch's path drawing. Images 8 and 9 are close ups
* Image 10: Rough Map Drawing of my room and my kitchen (not sure why it's upside down)
* Image 11-12: Rough drawing of coins

Original Plan
This plan is extremely rough and was only drawn in a way that I could properly understand. Essentially, it would be three separate pieces that would be the bedroom, the kitchen and the outside with a pathway interweaving them together. However, as seen with the final product, these three images were combined into one.
Draft for the Final Piece
Again, it is incredibly messy and drawn in a way only I can understand
Task 3: Thinking Through Making
I've had a lot of experience with owning birds throughout my life ever since Year 2 (around 2007), and so I wanted to design something surrounding a budgie (which is the latest bird I have). I wanted to design something that the bird needs and I also need to understand the perspective of the bird as well, and so with my previous research on parrots and budgies I managed to compile a little model that facilitates budgies (and potentially other parrots and birds) within the human atmosphere.

Task 4: Thinking Through Collage
Plan
The plan to the left is less detailed, whilst the plant to the right was more thought out
Process
This is the process to how I achieved my product, spread out into two days. The first day was spent collating the various words and images together from various magazines (which I eventually stuck to a sheet of thick glossy paper to act as a sort of sticker sheet for when I apply it to the actual collage). The second day was spent collating everything together.
Final Product + Various Shots
Here are various shots of the final product. Various magazines were used for the words and images, thick cardboard-esque paper was used for the coloured parts and crayon-esque materials were used to draw and connect the different parts to one another, as well as any additional drawings on the collage.
