Our journey began with the development of a versatile, multi-purpose form that we eventually patented. After experimenting with different materials, we decided to launch the form as a wooden cutting board and a stone board, perfect for presenting food or other items that look great on a diamond-shaped surface. The name for our product came naturally when we created the first prototype - it was spelled using the Icelandic letter "æ," which is pronounced like "ai" or the "ia" in diamond.

Although the diamond-shaped form may seem complex at first glance, it is actually very practical. We currently offer three sizes of wooden boards in walnut and maple, as well as two sizes of stone boards in granite and white Carrara marble. Our granite board features a leather finish on one side, adding to its unique style.

Currently, our boards are exclusively available at Epal design stores in Iceland. We're excited to see how our customers will use and enjoy these versatile and beautiful boards.
