For this project the client wanted a really classic, rich, luxe look so I decided to do the calligraphy for both the save the dates and the invitations by hand with physical materials. I used an oblique pen holder, a Brause blue pumpkin nib, tracing paper so I could sketch the design in pencil first, and sumi ink. I did all the calligraphy and carried it into Photoshop for first touches and then Illustrator so I could vectorize the forms and recolor the work. I also did a watercolor splash and edited it later to add an organic form to the save the dates. My favorite element I made for this suite was the custom monogram combining a T and an A.

The colors were deep burgundy, emerald green, cream, and black. 

For the invitations, I digitally painted a bouquet based on their color scheme and placed it on a black background to add richness to the image. The monogram also made a comeback for this invitation to keep coherency in the suite. The color of the type and calligraphy on this invitation is the same as the background color for the save the dates.

The back of the invitations features foliage from the front to tie it together. I've manually redacted sensitive information and altered the QR code for the purpose of this display.
