The beauty of Iceland can be seen in the iceberg lagoon of Jökulsárlón,
but there is more to this country than the ice in its name.
West of the Vatnajökull glacier, there is a historic lava flow called Lakagígar.
For every iceberg you find at Fjallsárlón, you can find a lava rock at Lakagígar.
The human-sized icebergs that you can walk up to on Diamond Beach are in stark contrast to the
infamous lava flow that destroyed lives only an hour's drive away.
Iceland is a country that truly sings A Song of Ice and Fire.
