DECOLAV® General Catalogues

The Decolav catalog had many design challenges involved in it’s construction. The catalogue would feature a large number of new product items which would all require presenting in a favourable and attractive manner. In order to help break up the catalogue visually, smaller books were created for each product collection. These would then feature in a binder that kept the entire range together. The books would also make it easier for the consumer to more accurately find the product they were looking for, instead of having to thumb through an entire catalogue of products. Another issue was the binding of the books. Traditional three-hole drilled binding can create navigation problems as well as damage while trying to browse through the books. To prevent this problem we elected to use loop-binding to help ease the navigation of the books. Another element that would feature prominently were QR codes. They are used throughout all of the books. This would allow customers to take information away with them on their mobile device for later review, without having to take any printed mediums with them. This would mean that less would have to be spent on traditional print media.
