While working on a business sustainability hub design, I developed a series of paper-prototypes, html prototypes and wireframes to use in user tests. The tests were conducted live and online with customers in the community, typically large supermarkets, banks and pharmaceutical companies.

 

This paper prototype was used in IA user tests while assessing the basic structure. Specifically I was looking at the orthogonal relationship between primary navigation (subject label vs. type of content) and depth of content. This design shows an entirely flat stucture from navigation to content. The concept was never intended to be a final design, it was however crucial in determining prioritisation of function, information and understanding where the click points needed to be in the user journey.
