Ostorozhno, Sobchak!

The story

Title of the show is a play of words: “Sobchak” resembles “dog” in Russian.
Lastik just followed this irony and came up with a dog as a protagonist of the animated teaser. We made a mini-movie of a surreal trip of dog-woman, Ksenia’s alter-ego,
through her own subconsciousness.

Characters

To find the perfect dog, we sketched a lot.
Everybody in the studio had to come up with a version.
We ended up with a bunch of drawings.

As a result, the character was found — a dog-woman, a restless mongrel, a goosey, which, clinging out its tongue, jumps and rushes, God knows where.

Here’s a couple of inspirations — the walk and pose were taken from our beloved horse-girl from Norway named Ayla Kirsten. Furnishings came from the situation
of one Zuckerberg's interview — we were hooked on those chairs.

At some point we decided to add weird monsters.
The entire story is permeated by a band of strange characters. These monsters, devils, goblins are the insane escort of an unscrupulous journalist in the world
of scandals and investigations.

Backgrounds

The surrealistic locations refer to symbolic layers of Ksenia’s personality.
She asked just for a little recklessness. Despite her initial objections, we could not resist and added plenty of psychedelic design. The palette was muted several times
for the desired level of otherworldly or morbidity.
