THE VIRTUAL STEPS CHALLENGE

Saigon Children’s Charity CIO (saigonchildren) was founded in 1992 to help disadvantaged children get an educationand a fairer start in life. Saigonchildren works exclusively across the whole of Vietnam to overcome barriers to education for children, including poverty, geography, knowledge and disability.

The Steps Challenge 2020 is an online sports campaign aiming to help thousands of disadvantaged children

in Vietnam who are at risk of schooless as their family can not afford tuition fees due to COVID-19 economical impacts.

For vulnerable children, the longer they stay away from school, the less likely they are to return.

The campaign this year will focus on education for disadvantaged children in order to ensure #NoKidLeftBehind

due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is a special gift kit for any participant who accomplishes goals.

[ Online Communication ]

Google Fit, StreamYeard, iRace, Instagram, Facebook, Website, Online Newpaper...

People can participate in the challenge from anywhere in the world and at any time from May 4th to May 31st, 2020. All physical activities like walking, running, doing a yoga session, or even doing house chores can be counted as the outcome of the challenge.

Specifically, participants need to download the app “Google Fit” from Google Play or App Store smartphones and tablet devices respectively, install into their devices and then connect to iRace’s account – the technical partner of the campaign in order to start counting their steps with the goal of 50.000 to 300.000 steps within 04 weeks.

saigonchildren team is composed of dedicated staff who are committed to improving the lives of disadvantaged children.

Our staff members pride themselves in always being supportive, knowledgeable, approachable, and effective in articulating the best of saigonchildren to our partners and donors.

And me, who received more support from saigonchildren when I was in grade 9.

Be honor when I can return to join volunteers, help children who have the same situations, remove barriers to education.

As a result, more than 100 million steps have been contributed and over USD 16000 has been raised, I hope this campaign will help disadvantaged children struggling to go overcome the COVID -19 pandemic.
