Laguna Colorada is a shallow salt lake in Bolivia's altiplano, within Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve, near the Chilean border. Its waters are reddish due to sediments and algae, with contrasting white borax islands. The lake is known for its abundant James's flamingos, and smaller populations of Andean and Chilean flamingos.
