We seek freelance designers ASAP, with varying levels of experience, who can potentially evolve into full-time employees. However, we only seek candidates who have already worked at an interactive design or advertising agency and who can link to an online portfolio.

QUALIFICATIONS (doing this job without the following would be challenging):

• Strong graphic design and conceptual skills
• 4 year college degree; BA with major in graphic design preferred
• 2+ years work experience, 1 year (minimum) experience working in an interactive advertising agency
• Experience developing banners, landing pages, interstitials and micro sites
• Fluent with Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Microsoft Office
• Proficient with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Flash Experience (mostly timeline, but AS is even better)

DESIRED (any of these are a plus):

• Experience with Actionscript
• Experience with at least one of the following template systems: JSP, PHP or ASP
• Direct marketing experience

Foundry9 (www.foundry9.com) is a rapidly growing, thirty-person digital marketing, technology and design firm. Our freelancers work on-site in our Chelsea office during our normal business hours, from about 10 - 6. This is a freelance / contracting role, but we hope it works out on both sides, turning into a salaried, full-time position.

You would work with senior managers who worked at Deutsch, Y&R, Organic, and Publicis.
